Athens Public Transit is Hiring!

Hocking Athens Perry Community Action (HAPCAP) is the managing grantee for Athens Public Transit. HAPCAP is pleased to announce openings for two different position descriptions working in the APT program.

Transit CDL Driver: Fixed-route CDL transit driver with responsibility for fare collection, safety, and customer service. Works with supervisor to ensure compliance with all regulations. Requires a CDL Class B with passenger endorsement and air brake. Hourly pay rate starts at $11.80 including a full benefits package. Hours of work range between 6:30am and 3:00am, Monday – Saturday.

Maintenance Worker: Non-CDL custodial worker with responsibility to maintain all Athens Public Transit fleet vehicles and facility in a state of cleanliness and order after each daily service shift. Coordinates transit drivers to position vehicles for cleaning and storage and oversees facility during shift-end. Hourly pay range is $9.80 – $10.78 including a benefits package. Hours of work are 7pm 12:30am Monday-Friday, with occasional daytime shifts.
